Linden, CA – After a lot of encouragement from friends, family, local rank-and-file law enforcement professionals, and conservative activists, Steve Colangelo proudly announced Thursday that he’s running to represent District 4 on the San Joaquin Board of Supervisors! Current County Supervisor Chuck Winn must retire due to term limits.

Steve and his wife Karen reside in Linden and have lived in San Joaquin County for decades. They raised their two children in San Joaquin County, and owned and operated several successful businesses. Early in life, Steve served as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the Sacramento Police Department.

President of the Central Valley Impact Republicans David Cushman noted, “Steve Colangelo is a longtime San Joaquin County conservative leader who will represent our values and make a great County Supervisor. Steve has spent decades in San Joaquin County building a small business, raising a family with his wife Karen, and serving our community. We need a strong conservative who will put our valley way of life first, and that’s Steve Colangelo for Supervisor.”

Steve Colangelo is a past president of the Stockton San Joaquin Convention and Visitors Bureau and a two-time president of the Stockton Asparagus Festival. He also served as Financial Vice President of the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce. Steve is the proud recipient of the American Rental Association Person of the Year Award, Region Nine. Steve also served as Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee and coordinated annual visits to lawmakers in Washington D.C. for the American Rental Association.

“As your next District 4 Supervisor I am committed to addressing issues like homelessness, water supply, and providing law enforcement and first responders with the tools they need to keep our communities safe and prosecute crimes,” said Colangelo in his announcement. “I’m not a career politician or political staffer – I am committed to conservative principles, keeping local taxes LOW, supporting local small business, and ensuring that parents can make the best choices for their kids. Let’s fight together for our San Joaquin Valley values and make our region a great place to raise a family for decades to come.”
